There will be no entries allowed on the day. All entries received after 9 March 2015 will be seen as a late entry and will not be guaranteed a goodybag.

Please note that the start and finish are at different venues (approximately 3km)
The race will start at the York Corporate Office following the R532/R37 (Longtom Pass) towards Lydenburg. The race distances are 21.1km, 42.2km and 55km.
This race will not have full road closure, and all lawful directions and instructions of the police traffic officers must be adhered to. Should any participant contravene or fail to comply with any such directions or instructions or any general or special condition, the administrator or his/her delegate may order that the said participant withdraw from the race whereafter he/she shall not participate any further.
All participants will participate at their own risk.
There will be clearly marked turning points for all three distances. The 42.2km and 55km will turn at the same point which is at the Longtom Canon. There will be an additional turning point for the 55km runners which will be at the Lonecreek Waterfall.
There will be check points at the turning points.
Any irregularities on your entry form will result in a rejected entry. Any runner contravening the rules of the race may be banned from the event.

No wheelchairs, nor any mechanical aids will be permitted.
Runners are not allowed to run with an animal under any circumstances.
Your 2015 race numbers must be worn on the front and back of your upper body garment throughout the race.
Athletes are reminded to wear their race number on the front and back of their upper body garment and NOT on their running shorts as this will result in disqualification.
The no mobile seconding rule will be very strictly enforced. No seconds may drive, cycle or run alongside any athlete on the route. The stand and hand rule, whereby a runner’s seconds may stand at any point on the route and hand refreshments to their athlete while they remain stationary, will apply. No seconds may travel on the route. No pacing will be permitted. Any transgressions will lead to disqualification. Any athlete being found carried along the route and/or before the finish line will be liable for disqualification.
In compliance with IAAF Rule 144.2(b) athletes are not allowed to be in possession or use cassette recorders, radios, CD, radio transmitted, mobile phone or similar devices.
You must collect your race number from the York Corporate Office, 3 Main Road, Sabie, on Friday night from 17h00 to 21h00.
All runners MUST provide proof of identity in order to collect their race number. ID book, Passport or Driver’s License.
It is the runners responsibility to confirm that the license number provided with entry is valid and correct.

If you are unable to collect your race number package, a third party can collect this on your behalf providing they have a printed copy of a letter of authorization from the entrant. The person collecting the race number package must have proof of identification.
Your registration package will not be posted to you and no refunds will be processed.
There will be two parking areas set out during the event.
1. York Corporate Office / Sabie Country Club – 3 Main Road, Sabie (Starting Point) – Limited parking
2. York Sportsgrounds – Preferred parking area (Finishing Point)
The most preferable arrangement would be that runners are dropped off at the starting point by families/friends as parking is limited.
A shuttle service from the York Sportsgrounds to the starting point will be available from 04h45 onwards.
The York Sportsgrounds are 10 minutes away from the start.
The cut-off times for these points will be confirmed in the final race instructions.
Runners will be required to board a rescue bus and be transported to the finish venue should they not have reached the cut-off points within the specified time.
Athletes MUST retire once ordered to do so by an official medical delegate or medical staff.
Failing to comply with this rule will lead to disqualification.
The cut-off points will be clearly sign posted.
Please note that these times and positions are subject to change should the organisers deem it necessary. The final cut-off time is at 9 hours (15h00) and if you have not reached the Finish, you must leave the route and retire from the race immediately. Failure to do so, will result in disqualification.
Timing will be administrated by ESKOM ATHLETIC CLUB MPUMALANGA. Results will be available online (www.raceresults.com) within 7 days after the event.

Your Final Race Instructions will be communicated by the commentator before the race commence.
